Declan O’Doherty
Declan O’Doherty, musical director, is an integral part of the international Celtic music scene and has been producing sound recordings for some of Canada’s finest artists since he immigrated from Ireland in 1979. He has worked across many genres, engineering, arranging and/or producing such talents as Paul McCartney & Wings, Cat Stevens, Gerry Rafferty, Rush, Rita MacNeil and Gordie Sampson. As part of the New Scotland team since 2000, his projects have included shows with The Barra MacNeils, Quartette, The Blue Engine String Quartet and Jeri Brown – The Spirit Comes Through.
